The following are the Tennessee home inspector insurance requirements as established by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (see Chapter 68-121-110).

Professional Liability / Errors and Omissions (E&O) Requirement

Required, but limits and amount up to each business.

General Liability / Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability

Limits of $500,000 / $500,000 or more.
