Ohio Home Inspector Insurance Requirements

The following are the Ohio home inspector insurance requirements as established by the Ohio Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing (see Chapter 255-26-2).

Professional Liability / Errors and Omissions (E&O) Requirement

No requirement.

General Liability / Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability

Limits of $300,000 / $300,000 or more.

Workers’ Compensation

Workers’ compensation requirements come from the Ohio Department of Occupations and Professions. (See 4764.11 Insurance requirements; recordkeeping.)

Since Ohio is a monopolistic state, our workers’ compensation program is not available there.
