The following are the North Carolina home inspector insurance requirements as established by the North Carolina Department of Insurance Home Inspector Licensure Board (see § 143-151.51.,b,1-2).

Professional Liability / Errors and Omissions (E&O) Requirement

Optional.

General Liability / Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability

Limits of $250,000 / $250,000 or more.
