The following are the Connecticut home inspector insurance requirements as established by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (see Chapter 400f, Sec. 20-491).

Professional Liability / Errors and Omissions (E&O) Requirement

Limits of $50,000 / $50,000 or more.

General Liability / Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability

Limits of $250,000 / $250,000 or more
